Grewal, after completing his master’s degree, developed a strong inclination toward fundamental fluid mechanics and began seeking PhD positions involving numerical methods in fluid dynamics for holistic development. The AWETRAIN network’s position in Wind Farm Optimization and Operation provides an excellent opportunity to work on state-of-the-art numerical methods alongside leading experts to develop future technology. His work focuses on the development and optimization of AWE wind farms by integrating plant-level control, siting strategies, and wake-aware modeling under transient wind conditions to maximize efficiency, density, and operational reliability. He is currently working at POLI-Wind, the Wind Energy Laboratory at Politecnico di Milano.
