Grewal, after completing his master’s degree, developed a strong inclination toward fundamental fluid mechanics and began seeking PhD positions involving numerical methods in fluid mechanics for holistic development. The AWETRAIN network’s position in Wind Farm Optimization and Operation provides an excellent opportunity to work on state-of-the-art numerical methods alongside leading experts to develop future technology. He is currently working at POLI-Wind, the Wind Energy Laboratory at Politecnico di Milano, to develop advanced methods to maximize wind farm density while considering various constraints, especially operational safety.
