Roland Ortt is Associate Professor of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship and director of Interfaculty Education at the Faculty of Technology, Policy & Management. He is Research Dean of the European NiTiM network of researchers in innovation and technology management and conducts research on the development, commercialization and diffusion of radically high-tech products: How long between invention and large-scale diffusion? What factors explain the time-period? What strategies can companies adopt to commercialize their products? Winner of four best paper awards. Roland Ortt is also Full Professor Urban Innovation Management at the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for BOLD Cities.
