Christoph Hackl’s research focuses on modelling, control, design and optimization of the electrical components of renewable and mechatronic energy systems. He is the head of the Laboratory for Mechatronic and Renewable Energy Systems (LMRES), and co-founder of the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy Systems (ISES). Together with Roland Schmehl, he edited a special issue in the journal Energies on airborne wind energy systems in 2023.
