Amirhosein is a Marie Curie PhD Fellow in the AWETRAIN project under Horizon Europe at DTU. He developed a strong interest in energy optimization and sustainable energy systems during his Mechanical Engineering studies at Bu-Ali Sina University, where his bachelor’s thesis focused on improving the efficiency of thermal power plants using advanced thermodynamic methods. He later gained industry experience at a petrochemical company, where observing energy inefficiencies and environmental impacts increased his interest in renewable and efficient energy solutions. He continued his studies with a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy, working on the techno-economic optimization of multi-energy systems and long-term energy storage, with several peer-reviewed publications. Amirhosein now aims to pursue doctoral research in renewable energy systems, with a particular interest in the techno-economic analysis of airborne wind energy.
