Alessandro Cappellari obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Padova and a master’s degree in Robotics and Mechatronics from the University of Twente, where he developed strong expertise in control, estimation, simulation, and UAV systems. His master’s thesis focused on an automatic robotic ultrasound scanning system integrating perception, learning based methods, and advanced control, leading to peer reviewed publications. Alongside his academic path, Alessandro gained industrial experience in Zurich, Turin, and Treviso, working on drones, motorsport systems, and autonomous robotic platforms. He is currently a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano, where his research focuses on robust and fault tolerant autonomous control for onboard generation airborne wind energy systems.
